The role focuses on materials engineering support for UAVs, GCS, GSE, and collaboration with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality and Field teams to address materials and process issues. We seek a highly qualified engineer with advanced degrees and extensive aerospace materials experience, capable of independent problem solving, and able to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in engineering or related discipline with progressive experience.
• Degree in materials engineering preferred.
• Hands-on experience with civilian and military aerospace materials and processes.
• Experience with fluids compatibility with aircraft materials.
• Experience with failure investigations and materials lab techniques.
• Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide Materials Engineering support for Mechanical Engineering on UAVs, GCS and GSE.
• Support design, development, testing, productionization and fielding of UAS.
• Support Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality and Field operations on materials issues.
• Perform other duties and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
