Job summary

IDEX in Farmington, CT seeks a Senior Materials Planner to translate demand, inventory targets, and production needs into actionable replenishment plans ensuring on-time delivery and healthy inventory. You develop schedules and coordinate with Buyers to secure orders.

Responsibilities include maintaining master data, monitoring safety stock, and identifying constraints that could impact customer commitments, with a focus on PFEP-aligned processes.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of materials planning, production planning, inventory planning, supply planning, or procurement support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP concepts incl. lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and policy settings.
• Experience creating, releasing, and managing production work orders and purchase orders.
• Ability to evaluate material availability, capacity constraints, and inventory risks and translate them into action plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Translate demand, min/max, safety stock, and MRP signals into internal work orders and PO requirements.
• Release and manage internal work orders from creation to completion with accurate dates and routings.
• Coordinate with Buyers to execute, confirm, expedite, and track open purchase orders.
