IDEX in Farmington, CT is seeking a Senior Materials Planner to translate demand into replenishment plans, manage production schedules, and coordinate with Buyers for PO requirements. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and inventory health.

You will maintain ERP/MRP master data and support SIOP/demand reviews, with a focus on minimizing shortages and improving schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of materials planning or related experience in manufacturing.
• Understand MRP concepts: lead times, safety stock, min/max, reorder points.
• Experience releasing and managing production work orders and PO requirements.
• Ability to assess material availability, capacity constraints, and risks.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and prioritization.
• Clear communication with cross-functional teams and accuracy in data.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP master data and planning parameters.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly production schedules.
• Translate demand, min/max, safety stock into internal work orders and PO requirements.
• Release and manage internal work orders from creation through completion with accurate routings.
• Partner with Buyers to execute, confirm, expedite, and track purchase orders and supplier confirmations.
• Monitor inventory against safety stock and replenish targets to reduce shortages.
• Maintain planning master data accuracy in ERP/MRP and related parameters.
