Job summary

Figure AI, headquartered in San Jose, CA, seeks a Materials Planning Manager to own end-to-end planning and ensure uninterrupted production of humanoid systems. You will translate build plans into material requirements and partner with Manufacturing, NPI, and Global Supply Management to maintain CTB readiness in a fast-paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in SCM, Business, Engineering, or related field is required or preferred.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or SCM is preferred.
• 5–7 years in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or complex hardware environments.
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Oracle).
• Advanced Excel: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, demand modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own module-level demand planning and translate build plans into material requirements.
• Maintain and govern the master demand file for accuracy between planned and actual builds.
• Analyze yield rates and consumption trends to refine demand signals.
• Develop and manage part allocation plans for constrained supply.
• Own CTB reporting and ensure material readiness on the production floor.
• Monitor inventory levels, turns, and consumption to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Drive inventory optimization aligned with ramps and engineering changes.
• Support tactical purchasing to mitigate shortages and expedite components.
• Collaborate with Warehousing, Logistics, and Global Supply Management to resolve discrepancies and present data-driven insights to leadership.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and scalability.
