Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Material Manager who will oversee daily materials operations, lead process optimization, and ensure safety and compliance across the site. The role requires SME-level support, training, and coordination with project teams to maintain supply and reliability.

You will proactively identify improvements, mentor staff, and fill in as Operations Coordinator when needed, ensuring smooth execution of materials management goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and hand truck certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• EPA/RCRA and DOT 49 CFR certifications, including respirator certification.
• Experience in industrial, pharma, chemical, or utility plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate key process equipment and instruments per procedures.
• Monitor parameters and address deviations to reduce material loss.
• Submit work orders for repair and maintain logs.
• Ensure compliance with AbbVie policies and train others as SME.
• Coordinate logistics, inventory, and resources for projects.
• Support EHS programs and drive continuous safety improvements.
