Job summary

Cypress HCM is recruiting for a Materials Control Manager at a medical device manufacturing client in the United States. The role leads Purchasing, Production Planning, ERP administration, and inventory operations across multiple product lines to optimize material flow and performance.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, coordinating schedules with Supply Chain, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliant materials handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop personnel across Materials organization including Procurement, Production Planning, ERP administration, inventory operations, and stockroom functions.
• Establish, maintain, and improve production planning, scheduling, and reporting processes.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, maintenance supplies, and capital equipment.
• Ensure timely execution of purchase orders and supplier lead-time management.
• Develop and implement SOPs, workflows, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and execute production schedules with Supply Chain to align demand with capacity and material supply.
• Analyze forecasts and recommend schedule adjustments to optimize utilization and service.
• Provide reporting on budgets, forecasts, inventory performance, and production status.
• Partner with Quality to support disposition of nonconforming materials and minimize disruptions.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers to improve quality and continuity.
