Job summary

Microwave Products Group in Salisbury, MD is seeking an Inventory/Production Planner to coordinate scheduling and release of engineering and production orders, manage parts requisition, and maintain accurate inventory records. You will set up shop orders, create pick lists, and work with purchasing and manufacturing to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business related field or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) + years or more of demonstrated experience in inventory operations and control.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral; ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints; ability to be persuasive.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, work instructions, routings, decisions.
• Basic math skills required with emphasis on rates, ratios and percentage; proficient with Microsoft Office and MRP system.
• Knowledge of APIC’s materials management concepts and principles, MRP calculations, capacity planning, production planning and shop floor controls.

Responsibilities

• Production Materials Planning and manage MRP; complete part masters and BOMs.
• Expedite late or critical orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage material allocations for shop orders and customer requirements.
• Work with Sales and Manufacturing to communicate shortages affecting shop orders and deliveries.
• Production Scheduling: generate shop order packages and release to stockroom; determine best assembly location.
• Generate and manage all plating orders and export paperwork.
