Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Production Material Coordinator to ensure material is planned, ordered, received, staged, and returned on time, interfacing with production, planning, and logistics.

You will manage material flow, monitor shortages in ERP/MRP, create transfer requests in SAP, support cycle counts, and help sustain on-time delivery for key programs while adhering to security and audit requirements.

Qualifications

6+ years of material control, production, or logistics experience (or 4+ years with an Associate’s).
Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and basic material transactions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Ability to lift/move objects up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Coordinate material flow to/from the production floor (receiving, kitting, staging, returns).
Monitor material requirements and shortages in ERP/MRP; coordinate with planning to resolve issues.
Create and manage material transfer requests and SAP transactions.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and support cycle counts.
Track open POs, WOs, and material moves to support on-time production.
Collaborate with supervisors, planners, and buyers to prioritize material.
Maintain records in accordance with procedures and audit requirements.
Support continuous improvement of material flow and shop-floor logistics.
