Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Crew Leader in Salisbury, NC to oversee material handling, inventory control, and reporting. You will provide leadership on the floor, coordinate with supervisors and project teams, and ensure accurate cycle counts and shipping preparations.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to read work orders and prints while using ERP and Excel to manage inventories and reports. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a material handling or warehouse leadership role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders/prints and understand complex instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the custom store fixture industry and receiving processes.
• Able to identify products from labels and manage inventory transactions.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to others and act as Manager when on floor or in absence.
• Oversee material handling, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with project management and coordinators to expedite requests.
• Prepare shipments for unloading or transit and manage ERP transfers.
• Inspect inbound/outbound goods and resolve discrepancies with leadership.
• Operate lift equipment and run pick/bin-to-bin transfers in the ERP system.
• Support receiving/shipping tasks and ensure paperwork matches shipments.
