Job summary

Fabletics in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Sr. Manager, Material Development to lead end-to-end fabric programs from concept to bulk production.

You will set the materials vision, manage mill partnerships, and mentor the fabric team while collaborating with Design, Production, Merchandising and Sourcing to meet aesthetic, performance and cost targets. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in fabric development, 3+ years in leadership, deep knitting/woven knowledge, and a passion for innovation with

Qualifications

• 7+ years of fabric development across lifestyle and performance fabrics.
• 3+ years managing a team within material development or related function.
• Deep technical expertise in knit and/or woven constructions, yarns, dyes and finishes.
• High taste level and ability to define and communicate material excellence.
• Proven partnership with Design, balancing creative intent with feasibility.
• Experience with global fabric mills, costs, lead times, and development timelines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to mills and trade shows.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end material development roadmap from concept to bulk production.
• Lead mill and vendor partnerships globally, optimizing cost and quality.
• Define the materials aesthetic and translate design intent into manufacturable solutions.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Merchandising and Sourcing to meet targets.
• Build scalable workflows and SOPs to elevate quality and speed.
• Directly manage and develop the fabric team and coach performance.
