Job summary

PetroSea is seeking a Material Control Supervisor to oversee the receipt, storage, preservation, issuance, and tracking of project materials. You will ensure material availability and accuracy of inventory records, aligning with company procedures and HSE standards.

You will supervise warehouse operations, coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Construction, and Vendors, perform stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain MMS-based records to support project execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Control within EPC, Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Plant, or Industrial projects.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with Material Management Systems (MMS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; teamwork and motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily material receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, and issuance activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material records within the material control system.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Construction, and Vendors to ensure timely material availability.
  • Verify material deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, and project specifications.
  • Manage warehouse operations, including material segregation, labeling, preservation, and housekeeping.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and material audits; track material status, shortages, excess materials, and surplus inventory.
  • Prepare and maintain material reports, inventory reports, and project material status updates; identify and resolve discrepancies, damages, and non-conformances.
  • Support project planning by providing material forecast and availability information.
  • Supervise and develop warehouse and material control personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Coordinate material mobilization and demobilization during project execution and close-out.

Job description

The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all material control activities to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, preservation, issuance, and tracking of project materials.

This role ensures materials are available when required, inventory records remain accurate, and project material management processes comply with company procedures, quality requirements, and HSE standards.

Job Responsibilities

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Preferably Engineering major, technical trade, or project type background is required.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Control within EPC, Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Plant, or Industrial projects.

Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.

Familiarity with Material Management Systems (MMS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, teamwork, and motivate people.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
Certification
  • If candidates do not meet the requirements specified in the Education section, evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with KKNI Level 6.
