Job summary

Ascentec Engineering, LLC is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer in the Machining division. You will develop and implement robust machining processes for complex precision components, with deep Mastercam expertise on 4- and 5-axis machines, and own projects from concept to production.

This on-site role in Tualatin, OR requires strong problem solving, collaboration with international partners, and a hands-on approach to improve manufacturability and quality on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Mastercam programming experience.
• Proven experience programming and designing fixturing for horizontal 4 axis and horizontal/vertical 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience with 5 axis mills with turning a plus.
• Strong ability to design and troubleshoot complex, multi-step machining processes.
• Solid print reading and GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program machining processes for complex precision components using Mastercam.
• Design machining strategies and fixtures for 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Own assigned projects from concept through production release and ongoing support.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with international engineering and manufacturing partners.
• Interpret CMM reports and inspection data to drive improvements.
• Mentor machinists, operators, and other programmers.
• Lead process reviews and standardize programming and documentation.
