Job summary

Ascentec Engineering in Dallas, Oregon is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop, implement, and support robust machining processes for advanced precision components. This role requires deep Mastercam experience and the ability to design, troubleshoot, and improve complex machining processes on 4- and 5-axis CNC machines.

The selected candidate will own project components from concept through production, collaborate with machinists, operators, quality personnel, and international partners, and help

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Mastercam programming experience.
• Experience designing fixturing for 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
• Strong print reading and GD&T fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret CMM and quality reports.
• Shop-floor problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program machining processes for complex precision components using Mastercam.
• Design machining strategies and fixtures for 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Own assigned projects from concept through production release and ongoing support.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with international engineering and manufacturing partners.
• Interpret CMM reports and inspect data with the quality team.
• Mentor machinists and other programmers; standardize best practices.
• Lead process reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
