Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION is seeking a Master Planner / Scheduler to own the master production schedule for a precision CNC machining job shop supporting defense programs. You will translate orders into work orders, optimize ERP data, and balance capacity, materials, and outside processes while ensuring ITAR/DFARS/AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, operations management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' production planning/scheduling experience in machining, aerospace, or defense environments (job shop experience strongly preferred).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; optimize scheduling data and workflows; JobBOSS preferred.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, capacity planning, routing, and lead times.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and scheduling tools; familiarity with finite capacity planning.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and defense industry compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains the master production schedule for CNC operations (finite capacity planning).
• Translates orders and delivery schedules into work orders and routings within ERP/MRP.
• Optimizes ERP data to improve schedule accuracy and throughput; leads scheduling improvements.
• Monitors WIP and schedule adherence; identifies delays and capacity constraints.
• Coordinates with procurement for materials and outside processing.
• Sequences work with engineering and quality for inspections (PPAP/FAI).
• Communicates schedule status, risks, and changes to stakeholders; concise updates.
• Analyzes capacity data to inform overtime and investments; identifies bottlenecks.
• Supports contract review and order-entry processes for realistic deliveries.
• Maintains traceability and defense program documentation.
