Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. is a world class manufacturer of precision engineered, precision fabricated, pre-cast concrete products and related structural steel elements required for the support of vibration sensitive semiconductor production equipment.

The Senior Machinist will lead precision machining operations, set up CNC and manual mills/lathes, mentor junior staff, optimize processes, and ensure high quality standards across a fast-paced shop floor in Oregon.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in precision machining, including CNC and manual operation.
Advanced knowledge of CNC programming (G-code), CAD/CAM software, and high-precision machining techniques.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex machining issues.
Deep understanding of tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture design.
Proficiency in reading drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
Experience with metrology equipment and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and optimize CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
Read blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to achieve exact tolerances.
Develop and optimize CNC programs for accuracy and efficiency.
Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions.
Troubleshoot programming, setup, tooling, and machine issues.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and part quality.
Train and mentor junior operators on best practices and safety.
Research new machining technologies and automation to improve shop efficiency.
Maintain detailed documentation of setups, tooling, maintenance, and process improvements.
