Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Machinist to lead precision machining efforts on CNC and manual equipment. You will interpret complex drawings, develop CNC programs, and design fixtures to achieve tight tolerances.

You will mentor junior operators, implement process improvements, and research new machining technologies to boost shop efficiency. This position demands extensive experience and a disciplined, safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in precision machining, including CNC and manual operation.
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming (G-code), CAD/CAM, and high-precision machining techniques.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex machining issues.
  • Deep understanding of tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture design for efficient machining.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Proficiency in precision measurement techniques and metrology equipment such as CMMs.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems for job tracking and inventory management.
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in machining preferred.
  • Physically demanding role involving regular bending, stooping, crawling, and standing on a concrete shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identifying and resolving errors in programming, setup, tooling, and machine operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, CNC programmers, and production teams to refine processes and improve quality.
  • Train and mentor junior machine operators, ensuring safety and best practices.
  • Research and integrate new machining technologies and automation solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on setups, tooling, maintenance, and process improvements.

We are seeking a skilled senior-level Machinist responsible for precision machining, complex problem-solving, and optimizing production processes. This role requires extensive experience across various machining techniques, including CNC and manual machining, as well as advanced knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and metrology. The Master Machinist will play a key role in mentoring machinists, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
