Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Tulsa is seeking a Master Craftsperson to lead advanced composite bonding work. You will apply aerospace standards, guide production teams, and ensure high-precision rework and bonding of complex assemblies.

The role requires hands-on expertise in composites, approval of process specs, and mentoring of technicians. Multiple shifts and full-time employment support the work schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years composite bonding rework experience.
• Perform highly complex composite bonding operations requiring precision and aerospace standards.
• Provide technical guidance for production, engineering, and quality teams on composites.
• Review and improve work instructions, process specs, and standards.
• Investigate defects in composite manufacturing, bonding, and assembly.
• Identify root causes of disbonds, delamination, porosity and cure issues.
• Develop and implement corrective/preventive actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production Leadership to solve challenges.
• Assist in evaluating adhesives, materials, tooling concepts, and manufacturing methods.
• Support implementation of process improvements and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical manufacturing methods and sequence of operations.
• Troubleshoot tooling, production, and assembly issues to improve efficiency and quality.
• Assist in planning methods for producing parts with tooling efficiency.
• Interact with Engineering and Quality to troubleshoot and implement solutions.
• Organize and administer Employee Skills Development Program.
• Identify training needs for tooling and test equipment.
• Support Lean activities.
