Job summary

Sterling Site Access Solutions in Phoenix, IL seeks a senior project manager to lead CLT mass timber projects from contract through completion. You will establish structure, discipline, and governance upstream, delivering complete information to operations and surfacing risks early.

You will coordinate between technical teams, clients, architects, and contractors to drive predictable delivery and value. Travel 40-60% across North America; you will shape schedules, budgets, and quality control,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, structural engineering, or mass timber projects.
• Strong technical background in structural systems, building codes, and sustainable construction practices.
• Proven leadership in managing complex projects, teams, and client relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to build rapport with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver CLT projects from contract award through final completion.
• Drive disciplined, repeatable project management practices across upstream lifecycle.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams for timely information and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; monitor progress and costs.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and coordination issues early; implement mitigation and escalation paths.
• Establish standardized upstream project management rhythms, tools, and deliverables.
