Job summary

Roche seeks a Senior Field Applications Specialist – Mass Spectrometry for the West Coast (San Diego/Los Angeles) with extensive LC-MS/MS experience. You will be the technical authority in customer labs, bridging analytical chemistry with automated testing, and supporting pre-sales adoption.

This field-based role requires strong regulatory knowledge, training delivery, and collaboration with sales to expand platform adoption across clinical labs on the West Coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• 3+ years implementing and evaluating complex lab IT products and diagnostic equipment.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or LC-MS/MS focus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clinical labs to communicate advantages of automated mass spectrometry.
• Lead technical presentations and pre-sales support.
• Guide labs through assay implementation, verification and validation protocols.
• Assist with installation of mass spec instrumentation and software applications.
• Deliver on-site training on mass spectrometry operation and QC.
