Job summary

The Metropolitan Opera in New York City seeks a Senior Project Manager reporting to the Design Director. You will coordinate studio resources and project budgets to ensure timely creation of deliverables that reflect the company's mission and fundraising objectives.

You will ensure workflow adherence and manage production and trafficking of in-house publications and collateral to produce assets of the highest standard.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management in creative services/design.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of content development and print/digital production.
• Proven ability to diplomatically implement workflow standards and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
• Creative, dynamic and extremely organized with strong relationship management.
• Experience coordinating vendors such as printers, mailing houses, programmers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Resource management — Coordinate project execution in Wrike, with departments and stakeholders, ensuring process adherence.
• Scheduling — Create and maintain production schedules for print and digital content.
• Operations — Maintain and develop Wrike PM tools and train new employees.
• Production — Estimate production costs to ensure design solutions stay within budgets.
• Purchasing — Order collateral materials and work with vendors to maximize budgets and timely delivery.
• Budget — Monitor budgets and communicate scope changes prior to production.
• Resolve queries with the Design Director during production.
• Mailing — Oversee direct mail campaigns, bids, and data file transfers.
