Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager
Job Description Summary: The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for executing Marketing and Communications, Business Development strategies, and/or specific marketing functions in Southern California. Daily responsibilities include managing local Marketing and Communications efforts, pitch and proposal strategies, creative strategies, and creating, designing, and developing materials as needed. This position will lead the local Marketing team and collaborate with other local and corporate Marketing teams to execute strategic visions for special projects and pitches/presentations as requested by fee-earners and broader Service Delivery teams. The Marketing Manager is ultimately accountable for providing exceptional marketing support and expertise.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Development:
- Lead, provide strategic direction, and execute Business Development projects (proposals and client presentations) in partnership with fee earners and service line teams.
- Manage messaging, content, and marketing materials following the 'Proposing Solutions' approach.
- Handle incoming requests, gather information, and define scope of services.
- Establish expectations, timelines, and milestones with project teams and manage throughout.
- Oversee proposal and presentation content, review with fee-earners and key affiliates, and ensure quality final products.
- Share best practices within the broader Marketing team.
- General Marketing:
- Implement Marketing and Communications plans to support local marketing and business objectives.
- Utilize market insights to inform strategies and optimize marketing spend.
- Review and guide marketing efforts for alignment with business objectives, including service delivery, operations, and fee-earners.
- Manage Marketing Specialists and Graphic Designers.
- Oversee execution of internal and external marketing events, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Research to capture market data and present content.
- Maintain schedules, delegate activities, and ensure timely deliverables.
- Report progress and issues to the Regional Marketing Director.
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all materials.
- Corporate Marketing:
- Apply global standards and brand positioning to local activities.
- Develop best practices across markets.
- Create strategic and tactical market approaches to drive revenue and support business activities.
- Track and report regional statistics, trends, wins, and major events to leadership.
Background and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of Marketing and Business Development experience.
- Experience in commercial real estate or professional services preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as a team leader.
- Experience managing marketing teams and supporting advertising, PR, events, and business development activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and influence peers and leaders.
- Proven track record of marketing results.
