Job summary

Target seeks a Sr Analyst in Market Research & Analysis to drive market strategy through geospatial analysis, forecasting, and location research for store capital investments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geographic insights into strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include analyzing trade areas, forecasting store sales, and supporting leadership with data-driven recommendations, leveraging GIS workflows and tools.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent in business, geography, urban planning or related field.
• 4–6 years relevant business experience.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, project management and organizational skills.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) and GIS systems (ESRI, MapInfo, QGIS).
• Experience with SQL and geospatial data for market and location analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support market analysis, strategic planning and geospatial analysis for store capital investment programs.
• Partner with Market Research, Finance, Properties-Real Estate, Operations, Stores and Merchandising to develop market strategy.
