Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Manager - Location Research in Irving, TX to support real estate strategies for new and existing stores using advanced analytics, data, and market insights.

You will partner with Real Estate, Finance, Store Planning, and Operations to measure and report on store performance, market trends, and capital investments. A Bachelor’s degree and 7–8 years in location strategy or GIS are preferred, with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing market strategies and evaluating potential sites.
• Ability to align and standardize analytical methodologies across teams.
• Knowledge of retail financial and operational principles and theory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site selection analytics for new stores and relocations.
• Manage GIS platform, data, and spatial analytic models.
• Coordinate real estate packages for REC and maintain data repositories.
• Prepare hind sighting and performance reports for stores.
