Job summary

Avison Young is seeking a Senior Analyst for our Market Intelligence team in Washington, D.C. You will transform complex market data into actionable insights guiding client strategies and growth.

Work with proprietary tools to analyze trends, collaborate with brokers and leadership, and contribute to client presentations and thought leadership within the real estate market. Base salary aligns with market data; bonus potential offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of commercial real estate or consulting experience preferred.
• Proven ability to present to internal and external audiences using digital mediums.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver complex deliverables with tight deadlines in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the D.C. market and broader region.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret real estate and economic data to identify market shifts, opportunities, and risks.
• Maintain and update property, leasing, and comparable data in proprietary databases.
• Produce quarterly and custom market reports summarizing performance and metrics.
• Create visually engaging, data-driven insights and dashboards using digital tools.
• Translate datasets into concise narratives to support brokers, clients, and executives.
• Collaborate with Regional Insight leadership to author research deliverables and thought leadership on industrial trends across the West Region.
• Prepare analyses and materials for client pitches, site selection, and investment strategies.
• Present findings in client meetings and support real estate strategy discussions.
• Identify and track new business development opportunities from occupier and investor activity.
• Work with Marketing, PR, and Market Intelligence to provide data and talking points for client events and media.
• Conduct internal trainings to promote use of data platforms and tools.
• Represent Avison Young at industry events and media engagements.
