Anduril Industries is seeking a senior engineer to lead mechanical and thermal analyses for a maritime autonomous vehicle, reporting to the Structures Lead. You will own the design envelope's structural integrity, buoyancy, and endurance considerations while balancing weight, strength, corrosion resistance, and cost.

The role requires a 5+ year background in relevant fields, proficiency with Nastran/ANSYS/Abaqus, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis for marine, aerospace, or robotic systems.
• Proficiency with structural analysis tools (FEM/hand calculations).
• Experience with materials selection for corrosive or high‑pressure environments.

Responsabilités

• Own structural mechanical and thermal analysis for the vehicle.
• Perform structural analysis: FEA, hand calculations and buckling.
• Verify structural interfaces with propulsion, buoyancy, energy, and payload systems.
• Drive trade studies balancing strength, weight, corrosion, and cost.
• Support prototype builds and structural test campaigns.
• Contribute to design reviews (PDR, CDR) and documentation.
• Travel up to 25% to test sites and manufacturing facilities.
