Flagship Management in Miami, FL seeks a Senior Technical Manager – Maritime Regulations & Standards to provide technical leadership on international maritime regulations for oceangoing vessels and stakeholders. You will oversee SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM/ISPS, and related codes while guiding interpretation, exemptions, and vessel compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Transportation, Naval Architecture, or an equivalent technical discipline/experience.
• Classification society survey experience aboard oceangoing vessels is required, with passenger vessel and yacht experience preferred.
• Extensive working knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Lines, STCW, ISM, ISPS and related international maritime codes, with strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Monitor international regulatory developments and develop policies and technical guidance.
• Provide technical determinations regarding exemptions, dispensations, vessel compliance, and regulatory interpretation.
• Oversee programs involving CII, SEEMP, fuel-oil data, IHM, electronic record books, ballast-water management, and vessel inspections.
• Liaise with and oversee Recognized Organizations and classification societies.
• Provide technical support concerning vessel casualties, detentions, registration, and compliance matters.
• Review and oversee approval of vessel plans and technical documentation.
• Participate in IMO and other international maritime regulatory meetings.
• Provide technical leadership across regulatory, certification, fleet-performance, and investigation functions.
