Job summary

Carnival Cruise Line is seeking a Regulatory Safety and Training SME to guide vessels in regulatory interpretation and ensure fleet-wide compliance. You will lead safety training programs across Deck, Engine, and Hotel operations and liaise with Flag States and Classification Societies.

The role requires extensive experience in maritime safety regulations, incident review, and training governance, with frequent shipboard and shoreside collaboration in a Miami-based office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a maritime-related field or equivalent.
• STCW certifications in shipboard safety roles.
• Experience developing and facilitating training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet-wide HESS training, drills, and proficiency programs.
• Serve as shoreside SME for regulatory safety and compliance.
• Oversee ERP training, gap analyses, and budget handling.
• Review incidents and oversee emergency response improvements.
• Coordinate with Flag States, Classes, and authorities.
