Job summary
Schuyler Line Navigation Company, LLC. in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks an experienced Technical Superintendent to take full technical ownership of assigned vessels.
You will ensure safety, compliance, reliability, and cost-efficiency while serving as the primary technical link between the office, the ship, and service providers. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval architecture or related maritime discipline.
- Maritime academy graduates strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide full technical ownership for assigned vessels in line with ISM/SMS and class requirements.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance, repairs, dry-dockings, and surveys.
- Monitor vessel performance and follow up on actions.
- Own budgets and explain variances to management.
- Visit vessels to assess condition and lead safety meetings.
- Coach and mentor Chief Engineers; assist in recruitment and promotion decisions.
- Partner with HSQE, Crewing, Operations and Procurement; evaluate vessel requisitions.
- Support audits and incident investigations.
