Job summary

Fairwater seeks a Technical Superintendent in Dania Beach, FL to lead shipboard technical operations, supervise staff and contractors, manage repair budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marine engineering and/or Naval Architecture or equivalent experience.
• Experience sailing as a Licensed Engineering Officer and shoreside technical work.
• USCG Third Engineer license or higher preferred.
• Dry-dock or major repair supervisory experience.
• Strong English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Class and statutory rules.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to assigned vessels and monitor performance.
• Manage repair and maintenance budgets in coordination with Marine Superintendents.
• Lead and coach Chief Engineers, set goals, and support promotions.
• Coordinate with officers, crew, and shore teams on technical matters.
