Job summary

US Ocean seeks a Technical Superintendent to lead shipyard repair oversight, manage budgets, and coordinate technical aspects for assigned vessels. You will ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations while guiding vessel maintenance and performance tracking.

The role requires offshore and on-site work with travel as needed, reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Services. A maritime engineering background and a valid TWIC are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering and/or Naval Architecture or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and TWIC.
• Experience sailing on ocean-going vessels as a Licensed Engineering Officer or shoreside technical role.
• Ability to travel as necessary for projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipyard repairs, monitor budgets, and settle related invoices.
• Manage the technical aspects of assigned vessels and act as primary contact for technical coordination.
• Ensure vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with class and statutory regulations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support and guidance to vessels and monitor performance.
• Maintain vessel technical files and oversee repair and maintenance budgets.
