Kimley-Horn's Plymouth Meeting, PA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their Marine Structures team. This is not a remote position.

The role emphasizes leading projects, producing full structural drawings, mentoring EITs, and performing design calculations with QC oversight. Strong communication and leadership are required to advance client projects and internal staff development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp for drawings.
• Experience with STAAD, RAM, ETABS and related design software.
• Strong communication and leadership in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and leading of projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance.
• Train and mentor Engineers‑In‑Training (EITs) in structural engineering.
• Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages, while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire project.
• Lead and provide support for construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members.
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients.
