Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Plymouth Meeting, PA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Structures team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include leading projects, developing full sets of structural drawings with specifications, mentoring EITs, performing design calculations, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and the design team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp for drawing production
• Experience with structural analysis software (STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT)
• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor EITs and coordinate with teams

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and leading of projects
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
• Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project submittal packages with Quality Control
• Lead and support construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering
• Support and participate in client, contractor, and design team meetings and presentations
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through client networking
