Job summary

COWI is seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to join our Oakland team. You will collaborate with a global group of experts, work with the Technical Director and Project Managers, and deliver marine infrastructure projects across North America.

The role includes leadership of engineering teams, design of marine structures, and coordination with clients such as USACE and Port authorities. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • MS or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
  • PE license required or ability to serve as technical authority on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Willingness to travel (~10%) for site visits, inspections, and construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural engineering tasks for marine infrastructure projects in heavy-civil environments.
  • Perform analysis and design for reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel, deep foundations, and earth retaining systems.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specs to support project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor project members to enhance outcomes.
  • Manage major marine infrastructure projects for clients such as USACE, US Navy, Port authorities.
