Job summary

You will handle inland and ocean marine claims, including vessel damage, cargo, and third-party claims, working with brokers and underwriters to optimize risk transfer. The role requires extensive experience in marine insurance, enterprise risk management, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, reporting, and timely settlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in insurance or a related role.
• Experience with marine transportation claims rules, regulations and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report claims to insurers for hull, machinery, property, cargo and workers' compensation.
• Oversee preparation and submission of claims packages and timely settlements.
• Analyze recoverability with underwriters and adjusters to obtain proper recoveries.
• Lead negotiations with brokers and underwriters on terms and premiums of policies.
