Job summary

Port Houston is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medium to complex marine, channel navigation, and dredging projects within the Houston Ship Channel. The role demands strong regulatory coordination, stakeholder engagement, and effective cross-functional leadership across engineering, environmental, and procurement teams.

You will manage NEPA-related contracts, coordinate multi-agency reviews (USACE, EPA, NOAA, TXDOT, TCEQ, TPWD, GLO, etc.), and ensure compliance with federal and state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of Federal and State regulatory, environmental, and project management experience.
• Experience with USACE processes and coastal/environmental permitting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of regulated projects.
• Monitor and analyze environmental legislation at multiple levels.
• Prepare NEPA documents and permit applications with multi-agency coordination.
• Present updates to leadership, agencies, and community groups.
