Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Marine Engineering with 7+ years of design experience, proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD MEP) and 3D piping/layout tools, and familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL, and classification rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 7 years design experience in ship design and construction.
• Experience with ABS or military specs, 3D modeling and ship system integration.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME engineering support during ship design and construction.
• Conduct independent design reviews for efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and piping systems in confined spaces.
• Mentor junior marine engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and classification rules.
