Serco Inc. is seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to join our Maritime Engineering Operation (MEO) and support US Navy and commercial maritime clients.

This role, based in our Arlington, VA office, leads design efforts for ships, craft, and floating structures and coordinates input from naval architecture, structures, and other engineering teams. You will lead design integrations, develop specifications, review feasibility studies, and provide technical reports and briefings to customers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of related experience in marine engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering principles applied to design and production of marine craft.
• Familiarity with government contracting environments and technical reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform auxiliary, fluid, mechanical, engine, and propulsion system design or review.
• Lead development and validation of design requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate inputs across marine, naval architecture and structures disciplines.
• Lead concept/feasibility studies for auxiliary and fluid systems and equipment.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for government or commercial clients.
• Provide onsite engineering support during test site and shipyard activities.
