Job summary

Manson Construction is seeking an Assistant Engineer to serve as Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch aboard our vessels. You will oversee engine room operations, assist the Chief Engineer, and ensure safe propulsion and auxiliary machinery performance while on watch.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, following SMS procedures, and participating in safety drills. Candidates must hold USCG Assistant Engineer license and STCW credentials, with strong MS Office skills and professional

Qualifications

• US Coast Guard license for Assistant Engineer (Unlimited preferred).
• STCW compliant vessel manning and crew credentials.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stands engine watch and supervises engine team.
• Operates propulsion plant, dredge equipment, pumping systems, and auxiliary machinery.
• Maintains logs and reports per SMS and company policies.
• Ensures compliance with safety, pollution prevention, and incident reporting.
• Assists Chief Engineer with maintenance, PMI tasks, and repairs.
