Qualifications

  • Must be a United States citizen of at least 18 years of age.
  • U.S. Regular Passport with a minimum of seven months remaining.
  • TWIC and/or DOD Common Access Card with ten months remaining.
  • USCG Merchant Mariner’s Credential with ten months remaining.
  • MMC endorsement(s): FOWT, Junior Engineer, or Deck Engineer Mechanic.
  • STCW certificate endorsed as RFPEW Able Seafarer Engine.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in operation and maintenance of engine room machinery.
  • Perform repairs on portable water and sanitary systems.
  • Conduct general housekeeping throughout engineering spaces.
  • Monitor engine parameters to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate boilers and control fuel-air flow.
