Job summary

Oil Authority in Houston seeks a marine specialist to provide subject matter expertise for projects, including marine design assurance, ship/shore interfaces, and regulatory compliance to deliver safe, cost-competitive solutions for energy sector initiatives.

You will lead engagement with external parties, assess terminal facilities, support LNG trading activities, and help ensure safe, reliable marine operations across our projects.

Qualifications

• STCW Class II/2 certification is required.
• Experience as Master/Chief Officer on LNG tankers is essential.
• Knowledge of marine ship/shore interfaces (port/terminal operations).
• Ability to analyze nautical design and operational problems and develop proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide marine design assurance for bp projects and related initiatives.
• Oversee marine interfaces including navigation, cargo transfer, ship/shore interfaces, and mooring.
• Keep abreast of maritime regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
• Lead engagement with external parties to resolve marine issues across project lifecycles.
