Job summary

Caturus, based in Houston, seeks a Marine Advisor to oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of LNG marine facilities, ensuring compliance with maritime safety standards. The role liaises with engineering teams, terminal operators, pilots, and regulatory bodies to maintain safe, efficient cargo handling.

The position requires extensive LNG/marine operations experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to travel and relocate as needed to support the LNG facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of marine operations experience in LNG/oil & gas.
• Experience with LNG carrier operations or LNG export facilities preferred.
• Experience with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and port authorities beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support design, construction, commissioning, and integrity of LNG marine facilities.
• Review mooring/fendering designs against vessel range and environmental forces.
• Participate in risk assessments, SIMOPS, and marine safety programs.
