Job summary

BLOX in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to own tooling design and fabrication across multiple production lines. You will model fixtures, run tolerances, qualify first parts on the floor, and coordinate with design, process engineering, and maintenance.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and work with the General Manager to triage priorities. Onsite with occasional travel to vendors; relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Five or more years designing and building jigs, fixtures, or production tooling in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build jigs and fixtures to support production lines.
• Model fixtures and ensure stack-up tolerances close before build.
• Collaborate with design, process engineering and maintenance to launch tooling.
• Manage budget and supplier relationships for tooling projects.
• Lead first-article on the floor and troubleshoot line issues.
