Job summary

Base is seeking a Test Engineer to deploy, sustain, and improve automated manufacturing test systems for battery backup products. You will collaborate across teams to ensure world-class reliability and meet project goals in a fast-paced startup environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical test systems, experience with TestStand/LabVIEW, and strong data analysis skills. This role is onsite in Austin, requiring hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical test systems design.
• Experience with Linux and Windows.
• Experience building end-of-line test systems.
• Familiar with CAN, PLCs, sensors and data acquisition.
• Ability to summarize data for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead uptime and FPY improvements on manufacturing test equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet expectations.
• Perform data analysis and VOC discussions to address challenges.
• Understand test equipment principles and support design teams.
• Build, validate and deploy test equipment to production.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting support post-deployment.
• Support equipment qualification during development and ramp-up.
