Job summary

Base is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and improve automated manufacturing test systems for battery backup production. You will ensure world-class performance, lead uptime and FPY improvements, and collaborate with design and site operations to meet project goals.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical test systems, familiarity with LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, and PLCs. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and support deployment across production lines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical test systems design.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Exposure to test and automation systems, production machinery, sensors, data acquisition, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Lead uptime improvements on manufacturing test equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet expectations.
• Perform data analysis and VOC discussions to address challenges post deployment.
• Understand test equipment engineering principles and support design and operations teams.
• Build, validate, and deploy test equipment to production lines and contract manufacturers.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting support for testers.
• Support equipment qualification during development and ramp-up.
