Job summary

Skydio, a leading US drone company, seeks a hands-on manufacturing test engineer to bridge manufacturing and engineering. You will own end-to-end test readiness for a full product line, collecting requirements and delivering data-driven test sequences to improve yield and reduce test time.

You will design test equipment, lead investigations using our MES data, and collaborate with product, operations, and software teams to scale manufacturing while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years focused on NPI test development.
• Proficient in Python for test automation.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing test readiness for an entire product line.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to collect requirements and roll out robust test sequences.
• Design and implement new test equipment to enable scalable, reliable manufacturing.
• Lead investigations to resolve production issues using MES data for root cause.
• Maintain high software quality with code reviews and hardware-in-loop CI.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate steps, speed up processes, and reduce human involvement.
