Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company is seeking a Team Lead / Manufacturing Technician 5 to operate, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced equipment for semiconductor component production. You will lead process improvements, mentor technicians, and ensure quality and safety in a 12-hour shift within a cleanroom environment.

Demonstrated expertise across cleaning, polishing, etching, and texturing processes, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 6+ years relevant experience, including 4+ years in manufacturing operating equipment and following contamination-control protocols.
• Hands-on experience handling hazardous chemicals and using PPE.
• Expert mastery of Shared Resources processes with cross-training ability.
• Capable of mentoring Level 2-4 technicians.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and meet quality and safety standards.
• Strong safety-minded focus with KPI awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines supporting manufacturing and finishing processes.
• Apply lean concepts and 5S to improve efficiency.
• Lead complex process-solving efforts and drive improvements.
• Mentor technicians and provide technical guidance to cross-functional partners.
• Read and interpret drawings; follow work instructions and process specs.
• Maintain records in batch records, ERP systems, and logs.
• Ensure area cleanliness and perform housekeeping; maintain equipment.
