Job summary

Silfex is seeking a Team Lead / Manufacturing Technician 5 to operate and optimize advanced equipment for the semiconductor components output. You will mentor technicians, lead problem solving, and drive continuous improvements across cleaning, polishing, etching, and texturing steps.

The role requires strong lean skills, mastery of Shared Resources processes, and a proactive safety mindset in a 12-hour shift cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 6+ years in manufacturing, with 4+ years operating equipment in cleanrooms or similar.
• Experience with PPE and hazardous chemicals; adherence to safety/quality.
• Subject matter expert capable of guiding peers and leading root cause actions.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines supporting Silfex manufacturing and finishing processes.
• Apply lean manufacturing concepts and 5S across shifts.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and drive process improvements.
• Mentor Level 2–4 technicians and provide technical guidance.
• Develop and maintain processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Record data in batch records, ERP, and quality logs accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety, quality, and containment standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance on down machines.
