Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer Level 5 to lead manufacturing system development and integration across concept to production. You will evaluate cost, risk, and readiness, driving improvements in fabrication, tooling, and process efficiency.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Supply Chain to meet program goals, perform DFMA studies, and guide transition to production for complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with required experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, machining, or fabrication processes.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Propose new manufacturing processes, assembly features, and tooling to reduce time and cost.
• Develop efficient process flows and optimize production layouts.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and capital equipment implementation.
• Perform DFMA studies and provide design-to-cost recommendations.
• Coordinate with IPT to meet program goals and manage projects.
