Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer Level 5 in Sunnyvale, CA to develop requirements, plan manufacturing system development, and drive cost/ROI assessments across all readiness phases.

You will lead DFMA and DTC studies, support a marine propulsion program, and coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to meet program goals. U.S. Citizenship and Secret Clearance required; salary range $177,000–$265,600.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD with extensive engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Cross-functional collaboration with program offices and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Propose and optimize manufacturing processes, tools and fixtures to reduce time and cost.
• Develop efficient process flows and optimal production layouts.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and assess new capital equipment.
• Perform DFMA and DTC studies for new and existing products.
• Coordinate with IPT to meet program goals and manage technical projects.
