Job summary
Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks an engineer to manage and improve site process control systems and automation projects. You will work with manufacturing, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure equipment readiness and alignment with global standards.
The role emphasizes safety, problem solving, and continuous improvement across the site. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) and a proven track record in process‑based manufacturing, utilities, or packaging
Qualifications
- University‑level engineering degree required
- Alternative with five+ years of engineering experience accepted
- 7+ years experience acceptable with HS degree
- Minimum 3 years engineering experience in process manufacturing
- Logistics role: knowledge of automation equipment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems
- Coordinate with manufacturing schedules
- Act as automation resource on projects
- Develop site process control systems knowledge
- Follow automation standards and maintenance plans
- Assist audits and inspections for process control systems
- Apply cLEAN and Six Sigma tools for problem solving
- Maintain quality mindset and risk management
- Assist change management and stakeholder initiatives
- Contribute to SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures
- Follow safety and environmental requirements
